Space Bunny Alpha on OpenRouter

Space Bunny Alpha is a stealth model on OpenRouter (id stealth/space-bunny-alpha), free during the preview. It's a normal chat model, so you call it through OpenRouter's standard chat-completions endpoint with your OpenRouter key. Here's the setup — plus a no-account alternative.

Every example needs a free sb_live_ key. Get one free →

Space Bunny Alpha appeared on OpenRouter as a stealth model on 2026-09-23: a 1,000,000-token context window, native multimodal input, adjustable reasoning, strong coding, and very fast inference — and free during the OpenRouter preview. The provider is anonymous, which is what "stealth" means here. Because it's a standard chat model, you reach it exactly like any other OpenRouter model: the usual chat-completions path with your OpenRouter key.

The model id and endpoint

On OpenRouter the model id is stealth/space-bunny-alpha. Use OpenRouter's base URL and your OpenRouter key — no special endpoint:

POST https://openrouter.ai/api/v1/chat/completions
Authorization: Bearer $OPENROUTER_API_KEY
Content-Type: application/json

A working request

It's an ordinary chat-completions body — a messages array and the model id:

curl https://openrouter.ai/api/v1/chat/completions \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $OPENROUTER_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "model": "stealth/space-bunny-alpha",
    "messages": [
      { "role": "user", "content": "Write a haiku about fast models." }
    ]
  }'

You get back the standard OpenAI-shaped response, so any OpenAI-compatible client works by setting the base URL to https://openrouter.ai/api/v1 and the model to stealth/space-bunny-alpha.

No-account alternative — our hosted endpoint

Don't want an OpenRouter account, or want a stable model name that won't change if the stealth id is renamed when it graduates? We host the same model behind an OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Grab a free sb_live_ key at /get-jev and call space-bunny-alpha directly:

curl https://spacebunnymodel.com/api/v1/chat/completions \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SPACE_BUNNY_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "model": "space-bunny-alpha",
    "messages": [{ "role": "user", "content": "Hello!" }]
  }'

OpenRouter vs the hosted key

Use OpenRouter if you already centralize every model on one provider, key and invoice. Use our hosted sb_live_ key if you want Space Bunny working in two minutes with no OpenRouter signup, a stable model name, and a free tier plus credit packs. Both hit the same model — the only difference is who sits in front of it.

OpenRouter or the hosted sb_live_ key — which should I use?

OpenRouter if you want Space Bunny on the same provider, key and bill as your other models. The hosted sb_live_ key (free at /get-jev) if you want it working instantly with no OpenRouter account and a stable model name.
